Whitworths Stir Up Sunday

Whitworths_Afternoon_Crumbs_01Whitworths_Afternoon_Crumbs_02Even though it’s not December yet it’s definitely time to start taking care of some very important Christmas admin. Not only have I started making shopping lists and festive party plans but it’s the weekend for making Christmas puddings.

Yesterday Whitworths invited myself and lots of other food bloggers along to celebrate ‘Stir Up Sunday’, as today is the day many of us will be mixing and steaming our Christmas puddings in preparation for the big day. Using Whitworths products, Edd Kimber’s dreamed up a Christmas Sticky Toffee Pudding which he taught us how to make yesterday. The recipe was delicious using lots of dates, apricots, ginger, rum and butterscotch sauce to make individual puddings that you can bake now and freeze or whip up the day before Christmas. It’s definitely a more crowd-friendly alternative to the traditional pud.

You can find the recipe for the pudding here!

Thanks Whitworths! I had so much fun getting festive and very full on delicious puddings.
