Moonflower Christmas Preview
Ok so I’m trying my best to do some catching up with you guys this week. Let me start by telling you about the amazing event I made some cakes for a couple of weeks back. It was for my local florist Moonflower. They are incredible all year round but make especially magical creations around Christmas. Every year they transform our house with their beautiful arrangements and I always love seeing what they come up with for each room. The build up to Christmas wouldn’t be the same without them installing some sort of masterpiece above our fireplace or on our dining table (I’ll try and share some photos when it’s all up!) Anyway, for the first year ever they had a preview evening to showcase what themes and gorgeous things were on offer this year. I was asked by the lovely Lia to make some cakes to serve at the party. They were to keep with the white and crystal theme so I made mini cupcakes topped with vanilla buttercream and crystal flake sprinkles. I also made some macarons which I sprayed using pearl lustre to give them a pretty shine. When I filled them I rolled the edges in clear sprinkles for some extra sparkle. It was such a nice evening and between you and me it was rather nice to have a mid week glass of champagne and hear some cheeky christmas music before December 1st!
everything wonderful. sorry i could not step into that wonderland. the pearl lustre is special. had not seen that before. thank you for sharing.
