Gemma Correll Biscuits for Ohh Deer

Super cool gift company Ohh Deer got in touch to see if I would recreate some of mega-talented illustrator Gemma Correll’s work to celebrate the launch of a load of new products featuring her designs. I love her work so much – it’s cute, funny and full of those everyday truths that make us laugh. Check out all her amazing work here.

To make the biscuits I started with some large circle vanilla biscuits which I flooded with white royal icing. I then used a black edible pen to draw out her designs. This was a fun challenge, as copying someone else’s style is always a little tricky. I used food colouring and red edible pen to complete the designs. I then piped over the lines in black royal icing to make them stand out.
