Bow Drip Cake
Copper and Rose Goldy colours are super trendy now. I keep finding myself drawn to any items in this metal and have seen lots of cake pics popping up using it too. I’ve been trying to figure out how incorporate it into a cake and my friend Jade’s birthday last week was the perfect opportunity. I found this rose gold edible dust and used it in three different ways on this cake. I mixed it with vodka to paint the flower middles, to dust the hand made bows and I mixed some in with the white chocolate ganache to make the drip. I love all the effects, especially how sparkley the bows (she loves bows!) came out – it looked cute but the colour kept it looking cool. The cake itself was a coconut Victoria sponge (her fave!) which I topped with Coconut Rafaellos, mini white marshmallows, bows, flowers and lots of sprinkles. Happy Birthday Jade! xx
