Cricket Cake

I can’t say I’ve ever watched a whole (or even half) of a cricket match. It’s definitely not my sport of choice, however, this cake might possibly be one of my new favourites. Happy Birthday Kate

This weekend was full of fun and reminiscing. It started by returning to my past school to see my friend’s youngest brother give his end of year speech as Head Boy at Summer Meeting. It was brilliant being surrounded by familiar faces and reliving all my school memories. We wandered around all the old classrooms, which all smelt bizarrely the same. Especially the science block, ugh. I was particularly pleased to come across some kids piping cupcakes in the Food Tech kitchens. Anemone Cake

This cake was for my lovely neighbour Gabriele’s 40th birthday party this weekend. She had the most gorgeous garden party with a seriously cool marquee, delicious food and plenty of dancing. I knew a cake that was pretty and elegant would be her style and so I drew inspiration from this black and ivory Peggy Porschen cake for the design.
